Endomorph, Ectomorph or Mesomorph? Find Your Body Type Here!

Endomorph, Ectomorph or Mesomorph? Find Your Body Type Here!

Knowing one’s body type can be the key to understanding how best to nourish it, condition it, dress it – and keep it healthy for life!

Every’BODY‘ is different and every’BODY’ has special needs!

Do you ever wonder why the diet plan that you are failing miserably on – is working beautifully for someone else?

Or, how about the exercise program that is doing wonders for the girl next door – but – zilch for you?

And, of course – how about that skirt or top that looked fabulous on your best friend – but – is somewhat underwhelming on you?

Perhaps one good reason is because you have no idea what body type you live in – and therefore have no idea what YOUR body needs in order to serve you – and only you – to the best of it’s ability!

Knowing your body type can be the difference between gaining or losing weight, gaining or losing muscle, or gaining or losing style. Basically it can be the difference between gaining or losing self-esteem and confidence!

Why is it then that so few are aware of their personal body type and shape?

Why is it then that we all – collectively – follow the same diet plans, exercise plans, and fashion trends?

Here is a basic description of each of the three basic body types. Finding yours could be the key to working smarter – not harder – and getting more of the results you want!

Ectomorph (please refer to horrid photo above): The Ectomorph is the tallest of the 3 pure body types. An ectomorph can be recognized by their long, narrow torso, often with shoulders and hips of approximately the same width. They tend to have longer, thinner arms and legs, very little body fat, and very little muscle mass. Their facial features are usually described as sharp and thin. They are usually referred to as ’small-boned’.

Notable ectomorphs include: Nicole Kidman, Gwyneth Paltrow, Uma Thurman – and just about any model you can think of!

Mesomorph Body Type (please refer to nasty photo above): The Mesomorph appears to be the most physically ‘balanced’ of the three categories. They are usually stockier and of mid-height, have wider shoulders than hips, and arms and legs that are proportional to the torso. Their facial features are usually strong and defined. People blessed with this body type are well muscled, and can look as if they work out – even when they don’t!

Notable Mesomorphs include: Jennifer Aniston, Megan Fox, Pamela Anderson.

Endomorph Body Type (please refer to noxious photo above): The Endomorph body shape is usually the shortest, have narrow shoulders and wide hips, with shorter arms and legs. Their facial features tend to towards soft as opposed to sharp. They usually have narrow waists and larger breasts, which greatly endear them to the opposite sex! The Endomorph tends to gain and store fat easier than the other 2 categories, but can look absolutely smashing if kept in shape!

Notable Endomorphs include: Sophia Loren, Ricki Lake, and Queen  To view photos of booty-ful and famous endomorphs click here!

Be aware: these body types are NOT set in stone and often have overlapping qualities. When this is the case the body type is known as an Endomesomorph (a combination of endo/meso) or an Ectomesomorphs (a combination of ecto/meso).

And, NOW – You know!

The old theories proposed in 1940s by American psychologist William Herbert Sheldon, associating body types with human temperament types is way out of date and unsupported, but I wonder what he’d name the many “supersize” people in the world today whose body types don’t fit his images.

I’m a jeans and t-shirt type regardless of size and shape. I look fatter in dresses and they never look right or fit me well. will stick with the jeans and long t-shirts or shirts cos I feel comfortable in them.

I am a combination of Ecto and Endo. I have long legs and arms, yet am short-waisted, therefore, I do not have a tiny waist, but I do have large breasts. That’s why I usually need to make fitted dresses rather than buy them off the rack. My face it more sculptured and less soft and round.

It doesn’t look right to have sentences that combine bold words with non-bold words. Other than that, your article is great.

I never even heard of any information like that. I learned something new but I think it would be safe if I didn’t share info to women on whether she’s a mesomorph or not. lol
